MSPCA Searches For Owner Who Abandoned Puppy Near Roslindale Cemetery

A 5-month-old puppy was found emaciated in a crate by the side of a cemetery, but thanks to the MSPCA, he could soon be up for adoption.

P.J. was brought in with no microchip or identification, so it's difficult for authorities to find out who left him, but he was wearing a blue, gray, and yellow collar.

BOSTON — The MSPCA is asking for the public's help in finding the owner of an abandoned puppy who was found in poor condition in a crate near a Roslindale cemetery earlier this month.

A good Samaritan found the 5-month-old puppy near Mount Hope Cemetary in Roslindale and brought him to the Angell Animal Medical Center, the MSPCA said.

Once taken care of, the puppy -- now named P.J., was diagnosed with Parvovirus, a deadly and highly contagious virus with side effects like diarrhea, extreme dehydration and vomiting.
