Photos: Jason Roberts Challenger Little League Opening Day

The Jason Roberts Challenger Little League held its opening day on Monday at the Ohrenberger School.

City Councilors Rob Consalvo and Matt O'Malley greeted everyone, and West Roxbury's Madison Sanders sang the national anthem before a game was played. The league is for players 6-years-old and older, and is open to residents from the Parkway area. Games are instructional and fun, with players learning the basics of the game.

and you may be able to get your child into the league, too. Games are played at the Jason Roberts Field at the Ohrenberger School, Monday through Thursday from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. Children ages 6-12 play on Mondays and Wednesdays, and children 12+ play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more info call Bill Hubbard, director at 617-364-9249, via email at [email protected].
