Stabbing At Boston School, One Arrested: Reports

Two students were reportedly involved in a stabbing in a bathroom in a Boston middle school.

BOSTON, MA — Boston Public Schools said a student stabbed another in a bathroom at a middle School in Roslindale. The district said the students involved were about 13 or 14 years old. One was arrested as the school was placed in "safe" mode, WBZ is reporting.

According to a robo call from Washington Irving Middle School to families, the girl who was stabbed was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Boston police officers were called to a bathroom at the Roslindale middle school shortly after 9:30 a.m., according to an automated phone call sent from principal Jomila Smith.

The middle schooler's exact age and name were not released.

The middle school student accused in the stabbing was arrested outside the school.

"We are all deeply disturbed by this incident," Smith told students' families in the mass call. "At the Irving Middle School and at Boston Public Schools, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority."

The school will have crisis counselors and up the number of officers patrolling school grounds, according to Smith.
