Salem City Council To Welcome 3 New Members After Tuesday's Election

SALEM, MA — There will be three new members of the Salem City Council and one new member of the School Committee after Tuesday's municipal general election, according to unofficial results.

Kyle Davis won his challenge for an At-Large seat in the Salem City Council, while Cynthia Jerzylo won her bid for the open seat in Ward 1 and John Harvey won his bid for the Ward 4 open seat, in Salem City Council unofficial election results on Tuesday.

Alice Merkl, Conrad Prosniewski and Ty Hapworth will all return to the City Council to serve in At-Large seats along with Davis. Domingo Dominguez lost his re-election bid with Filipe Zamborlini also falling short in his challenge for a seat.

Caroline Watson-Felt and Patti Morsillo won their bids for re-election in Wards 2 and 3, respectively.

Mary Manning and Veronica Miranda won re-election to the School Committee, along with AJ Hoffman in a very close race for the third seat over Harry Mehmet Gulergun.
