Junk Fundraiser In Shrewsbury Benefits Rotary Club

SHREWSBURY, MA — Local residents will get a chance this month to unload junk and help a local community service organization.

The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury will hold a fundraiser at Town Hall on April 24 where residents can unload whole carloads of junk for a flat $40 fee.

Some examples of items being accepted at the recycling event: pots and pans, batteries, lawn mowers, printers and fax machines, laptops, bikes and metal filing cabinets. Some items will require an additional fee, like speakers, appliances like refrigerators and TVs.

The recycling event will not accept items like mattresses, wood and light bulbs. Find a full list of acceptable items here.

The Rotary Club of Shrewsbury performs a variety of community service activities, including an annual scholarship program for local students.
