SHREWSBURY, MA — Starting this week, Shrewsbury Patch is adding a dedicated reporter to cover all types of local news across town.

My name is Neal McNamara, and up until now I've mainly been covering MetroWest and Worcester for Patch. But due to a staffing change, Patch is adding a new reporter to our Massachusetts team, allowing me to shift my coverage area west.

In addition to Shrewsbury, I'll be covering Worcester, Westborough, Milford, Marlborough, Wayland and Sudbury.

And although I'm new to covering Shrewsbury, I'm not new to town.

Right now, I live in Worcester just off Belmont Street and can see Shrewsbury if I step outside my house. I'm also a frequent user, along with my dogs, of both Prospect Park and Lake Street Park.

I'll be focusing my local coverage on town government, public safety and schools, but please feel free to reach out to me with any story you might have, be it a big pothole or a school fundraiser. The best way to reach me is [email protected], on Twitter at @Neal_McNamara and on Facebook.

See you out there!
