Shrewsbury Goalie One of Boston Globe’s Top Players

Shrewsbury Hockey was ranked number 8 by Boston Globe correspondent Jason Mastrodonato in his weekly player of the week, top 10 column for the week of March 6.

Freshman goalie Shane Gorrie was listed as one of the five players of the week after his showing during a shootout against Algonquin.

“The freshman goalie turned away a last-chance breakaway attempt in regulation and stopped four of five shootout attempts in a 4-3 win over Algonquin in the Division 3 Central quarterfinals.”
