3 Sudbury Students Earn National Merit Scholarships

All three students attend Lincoln-Sudbury, and received scholarships from the schools they plan to attend in the fall.

SUDBURY, MA — Three Lincoln-Sudbury students will enter college in the fall with a boost from National Merit scholarships.

The students earned awards in the college-sponsored portion of the annual National Merit Scholarship Corp. award rounds. The awards are worth between $500 and $2,000 for each year of college. About 3,600 students across the U.S. will get a college-sponsored award, but just 27 of those students are from Massachusetts.

National Merit Purdue University Scholarship

Purdue University is a state-assisted university system with students on five campuses. Among the 25 largest colleges and universities in the nation, Purdue's West Lafayette campus enrollment exceeds 34,000. Both received National Merit Tufts University Scholarship

Tufts University, located 6 miles from Boston, offers the personal attention of a small college and the options of a complex university. Among the options available to the 4,400 undergraduates in liberal arts and engineering are self-designed majors, the experimental college, independent study, an honors program, double-degree programs, internships, study abroad, a semester in Washington, and ROTC. Over 150 clubs, organizations and sports reinforce the balance at Tufts.
