SUDBURY, MA — A bicyclist was flown by helicopter to a local hospital following a crash along a trail at a local conservation area on Monday, according to police.

Sudbury police said officers and firefighters went to the Hop Brook Marsh conservation area off Dutton Road Monday, and were led to the scene of the crash by a person on horseback.

From Hop Brook Marsh, the bicyclist was taken by ambulance to Haskell Field, where a Boston MedFlight chopper picked them up. Boston MedFlight helicopters typically respond to critical care incidents, but Sudbury police could not immediately say what condition the cyclist was in.
