Chris Evans Attends His Lincoln-Sudbury High School Reunion

He wore a "Chris" name tag — as if anyone wouldn't recognize the star of "Avengers: Endgame," set to be the highest-grossing movie ever.

SUDBURY, MA — Chris Evans, currently starring in what's on track to be the highest-grossing movie ever, atended his Lincoln-Sudbury high school reunion over the weekend. The "Avengers: Endgame" star has been in the area filming "Defending Jacob," an Apple TV series. It seems he carved out time from his schedule to attend his 20th high school reunion Saturday at Conrad's Restaurant in Sudbury.

Evans traded his Captain America suit for a simple name tag that read "Chris" just in case people didn't recognize him. Patch could not reach anyone from Conrad's who was working the event but Boston.com reported one of the managers was told Evans' appearance thrilled his classmates. Evans appeared happy to pose for photos.

"Many people wanted to take pictures with him," manager Donna Scott said. "Everyone was pretty excited that he was there."

A few photos and tweets noted Evans' appearance at the event. One man pointed out the name tag and highlighted that the event was the same weekend that "Avengers: Endgame" was named the second highest-grossing movie of all time.

Photos from the event were also found on fan pages.

Last week, Evans was spotted in Belmont filming "Defending Jacob." He plays a Middlesex District Attorney and the father of a 14-year-old boy, Jacob, accused of murder. "Defending Jacob" crews have filmed in various parts of Massachusetts, shooting scenes in Worcester and Newton in April.
