SUDBURY, MA — The Sudbury outpost of the local Conrad's restaurant chain will be taken over by a new owner and will get a new name.

The Sudbury Select Board on Tuesday approved a transfer of the Conrad's liquor license to Alexandre Alvarenga, who will turn the restaurant into the Sudbury Point Grill.

Alvarenga, who owns and operates Franco's Trattoria in Sudbury, said he's not planning to make too many changes to Conrad's. He plans to renovate the outdoor dining area and re-stripe the parking lot, and to apply for a license to host live music.
