Gifted Athlete, Michael Albano, Graduate of L-S Regional, Dies at 31

Wayland resident Albano played for the Bentley Warriors, and was a senior sales executive. Services are this week.

WAYLAND – Michael Richard Albano, 31, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016.Michael was born on August 14, 1985 in Framingham and graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School with the class of 2004. He earned a bachelor's degree from Bentley University in 2008 and played football for the Warriors. Mike started his career with IBM for three years then on to BMC and more recently, he was Senior Sales Executive atSalesForce.com.

Mike was a gifted athlete and considered a "gentle giant" with a wonderful sense of humor. He had many passions including playing the piano, golf, tennis, swimming, baseball, football, and movies. His favorite pastimes include skiing at Vail, attending Patriots football games, fun dinners, travelling to Hawaii, Ogunquit, and the world. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his loving family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Beloved son of Dennis A. and Diane A. (Alliegro) Albano; cherished brother of Anthony D. Albano and his wife Jennifer, Julianne E. Albano and her fiancé Nicholas Boschetti; loving uncle to Alec and Braden Albano. Michael is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Barbara Alliegro; aunts and uncles, Richard Alliegro, Deborah Hayes, Robert Alliegro and his wife Kellie, James Alliegro, Donna Franklin and her husband Andrew, Thomas Albano, Bruce Albano, William Albano and his wife Joann; cousins, Nick, Maria, Katie, Molly, Jenny, Frank, Brendan, Emilia, and also countless friends and colleagues.

The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury. All guests are invited to meet directly at the church. Interment will be held privately at a later date.Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 25, from 4-8PM at the Duckett – J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to: The Michael Albano Scholarship Fund (for student athletes), C/O Bank of America, 22 Union Avenue, Sudbury, MA 01776.
