Goodbye 'Uncle Rossy': Niece Pays Tribute to Sudbury's Ross Cooper, Who Died on Thursday

'You see, my uncle Rossy died today. He had cancer.'

Jackie Hunt's uncle Ross Cooper was more like a brother to her. Cooper, a Sudbury native, died on Thursday. Hunt paid tribute to him with this post on her Facebook page:

This is my uncle, Ross Cooper, or as I call him "Rossy"....since I was a little girl.
My Uncle Rossy was more like my brother, we lived together with my Gram for many years. We would hang out together and just do dumb stuff.
He had a saying: "you fly, I'll buy," which meant if I go get Sudbury Pizza, he would pay.... So ya, I had no problem with that!
He was not perfect; hell, who is?
I saw him a couple of times the last few years I went to my Grams wedding in AZ and spent time with him and our whole family. He came to VA and spend time with our family and Charlie's. My niece Destiny called him "Roderick," which he thought was great! The picture here is from the tour of the Green Monster, which was was the last visit we had.
I was supposed to see him in Las Vegas, but decided not to go. I wish I could go back in time and get on the plane.
You see, my uncle Rossy died today.
He had cancer.
My mom, Storme, is here visiting, and I know she is hurting. Even through her tears she told me that we needed to remember Rossy as the Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk kind of guy he was. (I think he was the biggest 3 Stooges fan of all!) also for me to remember that the visit we took to Fenway Park was one of his favorites.
He is in no pain now. Hopeful they are mowing a big "R" in the field for him.
I know Moe, Larry and Curly will be thrilled to see him.
Me, I will miss him terribly. My uncle, my brother, my friend, my caretaker, my Rossy.
I love you.
