L-S Junior's Photo Chosen As National Geographic Finalist

This Sudbury student's photo is one of 30, out of more than 5,000, chosen in a National Geographic contest.

SUDBURY, MA—If you've got a photo in National Geographic, it's not a snap from your old iPhone. The shots than run in this legendary magazine are bar none.

It makes it all the more sweeter that Nick Carter, a junior at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, recently was informed that his photo has been selected as one of 30 finalists among more than 5,000 entries in the National Geographic Student Expedition Photo Contest.

The photo is one of Carter's friends, fellow LS junior Ben Ryan, taken the day after school ended last June on Crane Beach in Ipswich.
