Lincoln-Sudbury Educator Loses Battle With Cancer

North House Assistant Mary Lou Marion passed away after a nine-month battle with breast cancer.

SUDBURY, MA—A beloved employee of the Lincoln-Sudbury public schools lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, June 10.

North House Assistant Mary Lou Marion passed away after a nine-month battle with breast cancer, announced Superintendent Bella Wong in a message to the school community.

Marion joined Lincoln-Sudbury in the fall of 2013, the year North House reopened.

"An unabashed cat lover, Mary Lou greeted all who entered the house office with her gentle smile and calming presence," wrote Wong. "She always knew what we needed before we even knew ourselves. Beloved by students, families, and staff alike, Mary Lou will truly be missed by many in our community."

Students can access clinical support in the Clinical Suite, and there will be additional counseling support for students in North House as well.
