Main Road Will Close In Sudbury During Paving Project

The paving and milling project will take up to 10 days, meaning closures during daytime hours.

SUDBURY, MA — Watch for detours along a key road north of Route 20 in Sudbury starting Monday.

That's when the town will begin a milling and paving project along Peakham Road, which could take up to 10 days. The work will begin at the Boston Post Road and stretch all the way to Route 27/Hudson Road.

The work will begin at about 7 a.m. each day and will begin at Route 20. From there, construction crews will move north to Horse Pond Road. The work will then continue north to Route 27.

The work will mean intermittent closures of Peakham Road. The public works department is recommending drivers use Horse Pond and Dutton roads as alternatives, or Union Avenue/Concord Road.

Residents of Peakham Road and emergency vehicles will still be able to use the road.
