Arson Charge For Woman In Blaze That Injured Firefighter

MAYNARD, MA — A Maynard woman has been arrested and charged in connection to a fire that destroyed a home along Little Road in early June, according to police.

Maynard police arrested Anabelle Dentino, 26, on charges of arson of a home and causing injuries to a firefighter. Police said Dentino was identified as a suspect quickly, but did not give details about why the home burned.

The fire broke out just before midnight on June 5 at 1 Little Road. The fire drew a large response from across the area, with fire crews from Sudbury, Wayland, Concord, Stow, Hudson, Boxborough and Carlisle all arriving to either help put out the flames or cover other parts of Maynard. A Maynard firefighter sustained minor injuries during the fire.

After the fire, the Maynard Fire Department reported that a family had escaped the home before the blaze, and that a puppy trapped inside survived.
