SUDBURY, MA — A longtime former Goodnow Library librarian's death in April has prompted the library to put together a memorial including memories and stories.

Carolyn Anderson died on April 18 at age 85. She worked for 24 years at the library, ending her career in 2001 as the Goodnow's head of circulation. She continued to volunteer at the library after her retirement.

"Carolyn was committed to service and to her community and had a deep and lasting effect on the library. We plan to honor her by inviting the current and former Goodnow Library staff members and patrons to submit a story or memory about Carolyn, or simply include their name in a book —what else? — which we would then present to her family at a June commemoration in her honor," the library said in a message to patrons this week.
