SUDBURY, MA — A former professional dancer has opened a new ballet studio in Sudbury offering instruction in classical, modern and contemporary styles of dance.

Meredith Wells opened Développé, 59 Union Ave., in the fall after she began teaching dance via Zoom and outdoors during the pandemic. The new school accepts students by audition only, and promises the "rigor of training required for students to be able to achieve a career or college acceptance in the dance world."

“Développé was formed out of my own personal growth. After many years of teaching at many different types of dance schools and programs, I still had not found one that 'fit.' I found myself thinking about what I would do differently," Wells said in a news release.
