Possible Snow, Big Cooldown For Sudbury Area Coming: NWS

SUDBURY, MA — Hopefully you didn't get used to the warm weather over the first two weeks of November.

This week will see a big temperature cooldown — and there's even the chance for a little snow on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service's long-range forecast did predict above-average temperatures for November. We've already had a taste of the warmth, with temperatures near 80 over the Nov. 4 weekend, and near 70 on Saturday — but that will be evened out by daytime highs in the high 30s and low 40s this week.

The outlook through the end of November includes:

• 63 percent chance of above-normal temperatures
• 33 percent chance of near-normal temperatures
• 35 percent chance of below-normal precipitation
• 33 percent chance of near-normal precipitation

Here's the forecast for the area for the upcoming week, according to the National Weather Service:

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 44. West wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 25. Light northwest wind.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Calm wind.

Tuesday Night: Snow likely before 4am, then snow, possibly mixed with rain. Low around 31. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Wednesday: Rain likely, possibly mixed with snow before 8am, then rain. High near 44. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind around 6 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. West wind 6 to 11 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. West wind around 7 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 43. West wind 6 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. West wind around 6 mph.
