SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury will restart a roadway construction project this month, which will mean road closures and detours in the town center area for most drivers.

Starting March 27, Peakham Road between Pratts Mill and Old Lancaster roads will close during daytime hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for about three weeks. The closures will allow the town to continue work on a drainage improvement project along Peakham Road.

Sudbury kicked off the drainage project in December, closing the stretch of Peakham between Meadowbrook Circle and Pratts Mill Road during daytime hours.

During the upcoming closures, only school buses, emergency vehicles and local residents will be allowed to drive through the construction zone. All other drivers will have to circle around the area using either Hudson Road or Route 20.
