Sudbury To Begin Major Water Main Replacement Project

The construction will begin June 20 along Marlborough Road near the Poor Farm Meadows conservation area.

SUDBURY, MA — An upcoming construction project in Sudbury may cause traffic disruptions on the north end of town.

On June 20, the Sudbury Water District is planning to replace a water main near the intersection of Marlborough and Willis roads, just east of Route 27.

Roads will remain open for the duration of the three-day construction project, but will be reduced to one lane. Construction will take place each from about 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

On top of traffic disruptions, the Sudbury Water District will shut off water to homes along Marlborough Road between numbers 126 and 280, along Willis Road from numbers 82 to 228, plus all of Craig and Hamblin lanes, and two homes along Meachen Road. The water shut-offs will take place between about 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day during construction.
