SUDBURY, MA — A big annual toy drive for local kids got underway this week at the Sudbury Fire Department headquarters.

The department's annual Toys for Tots drive will collect items through early December. The U.S. Marine Corps operates the annual nationwide drive, with items being distributed near Christmas to kids whose families wouldn't otherwise be able to afford gifts.

Anyone can drop off a new, unwrapped gift at the rear side of the fire department headquarters, 77 Hudson Road, through Dec. 11.
