The largest of the three projects will be at the triangular intersection of Union Avenue, Concord Road and Old Lancaster Road near Our Lady of Fatima church. Construction crews will remove a center island and utility pole, add four pedestrian curb cuts, widening sidewalks and relocating crosswalks.

At Old Lancaster and Peakham roads, crews will add four pedestrian ramps at each crosswalk, plus flashing red LED lights on the intersection's four stop signs.

At Hudson Road and Fairbank Road near the under-construction community center and pool, construction would relocate crosswalks, expand a center island to make it a pedestrian refuge, and install new bituminous walkways, among other upgrades.
