Sudbury Valley Trustees Announces 'Covered Bridge' as New Property

The new conservation land includes a seasonal stream and vernal pool, and hosts a diversity of tree species

Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) announces its newest property, Covered Bridge, by Covered Bridge Lane in Wayland. These fifteen acres are the result of a “cluster” or “open space” development, where house lots are smaller and positioned in a way to maximize open space and preserve nature and wildlife habitat. The new conservation land includes a seasonal stream and vernal pool, and hosts a diversity of tree species such as ironwood, beech, and yellow birch.

While there are no immediate plans to construct trails for public access, these additional acres add to a large area of protected land in Wayland that includes SVT's Hamlen Woods Reservation, and soon, Mainstone Farm.
