Yard Sale to Benefit Save a Dog: Can You Donate?

Save a Dog shelter in Sudbury is accepting donations for its upcoming fundraiser yard sale.

Donate some stuff, or buy some stuff, and help a dog’s life.

The Save a Dog Yard Sale is coming up on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shelter at 604 Boston Post Road.

On those days, organizers invite you to shop under the big tent at the Save A Dog yard sale and help raise funds to continue the rescue and placement of dogs in need of homes. There will be something for everyone including house-wares and household items, furniture, vintage and collectibles, books, games and puzzles, toys, small electronics, holiday decorations, crafts, and of course, pet clothing and supplies.

Save a Dog is accepting donations of items in good condition on Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you are donating furniture, please be willing to take it back on the 23rd or 24th if it doesn’t sell. If you can’t make any of these drop off times, please email [email protected] to try to arrange an appointment.

Items Save a Dog will take: kitchen items - small appliances, dishes, glassware, bric-a-brac; electronics (nothing too out of date or that we have to pay to dispose of); books, DVDs, CDs; kids games and toys, puzzles (must be complete); purses; stuffed animals (clean, gently used); sports equipment (in good condition); bicycles; holiday decorations; crafts and kits; office supplies; gardening equipment and outdoor statues; furniture (MUST be willing to take large pieces away if they don’t sell); dog clothing, leashes, toys and beds (clean please).

Items Save a Dog WILL NOT take: clothing; blankets, sheets, bedding; mattresses; baby furniture; tires; wall art; jewelry (we may take some but it is hard to monitor against theft).
