TEWKSBURY, MA — Niche, an education platform, recently published its rankings of the Best Places to Teach in Massachusetts and the Districts with the Best Teachers in Massachusetts.

The rankings were part of the platform's 2023 K-12 School & District Rankings. Now in their ninth year, the rankings include updated data for 92,743 public schools, 30,112 private schools, and 11,820 school districts nationwide, according to Niche.

Niche said its rankings differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that it also includes input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities.

For its 2023 Best Places to Teach in Massachusetts rankings, Niche ranked 166 public school districts, evaluating each using data like average annual salary and student-teacher ratio.

For its 2023 Districts with the Best Teachers in Massachusetts rankings, Niche assigned a letter grade to each district's teachers and ranked a total of 238 districts.

Tewksbury Public Schools ranked No. 111 on the list of Best Places to Teach in Massachusetts. Tewksbury teachers have an annual salary of $74,586 and the student-teacher ratio is 13:1.

Tewksbury Public School teachers, meanwhile, were given a letter grade of A-minus, and the district was ranked No. 107 on the list of Districts with the Best Teachers in Massachusetts.
