Jennie R. (McAllister) Daley, 99, of Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY, MA — Jennie R. (McAllister) Daley, age 99, a resident of Tewksbury for over 70 years, passed away at home, with her family by her side, on Monday, November 28, 2016.

She was the beloved wife of Robertson M. Daley, who passed away on January 20, 1992.

Born in Newport, Vermont on April 29, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John R. McAllister and the late Belle L. (Davio) McLean.

Jennie moved to Tewksbury in 1946, where she and her late husband raised their family.

She was a member and past Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Tewksbury.

Jennie enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and donated numerous handmade afghan blankets to area fraternal and veteran’s organizations as well as to area child care centers. In addition, she was an avid reader.

She will lovingly be remembered for her generosity, kind heart, and her warm and friendly personality.

Family members include her children, the late Eleanor L. Daley, Barbara J. Daley, Eileen L. Daley, James M. Daley, Rodger E. Daley, and Lawrence A. Daley and his wife Patricia all of Tewksbury, Dorothy Tynan and her husband Richard, and Linda Gagne and her late husband Gerard of Allenstown, NH, Jeanette Rudnicki and her late husband Richard of Brockton, the late Eleanor L. Daley, Frank D. Daley and his wife Jacqueline of Amherst, NH, Robert W. Daley and his wife Doris of Nashua, NH, and Daniel Daley of Wilton, NH; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Edward and Scott Daley, John and Frank Tynan, Barbara Tynan Cameron, Elizabeth Rudnicki Cordeiro, and Thomas Rudnicki; five great grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan Cordeiro, Hunter Daley, Sam Ros, and Andrew Cameron; close friends, Donald Fedukowski, and John Carr.

Calling hours are Sunday, Dec. 4, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 or to Circle Home Hospice, 847 Rogers St., Lowell, MA 01852.
