Lowell General's First Baby Of 2022 Born To Methuen Couple

Emily Nascimento was born at 2:47 a.m. Jan. 1, making her the hospital's first baby of the year.

LOWELL, MA — A Methuen couple welcomed Lowell's first baby of 2022 at Lowell General Hospital Saturday, the hospital said.

Emily Nascimento was born at 2:47 a.m. on New Year's Day, after 24 hours of labor.

Emily was born to parents Leandro and Nayara Nascimento of Methuen.

Emily is 7 pounds, 11 ounces and 20 inches tall. She was the first of over 2,000 babies born each year at the hospital.
