Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins, Thefts Reported In Tewksbury: Police

Police received nine reports of vehicle break-ins in Tewksbury on Monday morning.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Police are investigating reports of multiple motor vehicle break-ins and thefts that occurred Monday.

Police responded to the area of Charme Road at 6:08 a.m. on a report of a stolen motor vehicle.

Officers spoke with one resident who reported her car had been stolen and several other residents who reported their vehicles had been broken into. Police obtained home surveillance footage of a suspect entering the vehicles along the street.

Police were later called to Pupkis Road, where the car stolen from Charme Road had been dumped and a different car had been stolen. Area residents also told police their cars had been broken into.

Police received nine reports of motor vehicle break-ins. Police believe the same suspect attempted to break into cars on Charme Road, Pupkis Road, and Heath Street.

Police said the suspect is a man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a yellow/orange hooded sweatshirt with a blue jacket, dark-colored pants, white and black sneakers, and bright green gloves.

An investigation found that the suspect made a purchase using a stolen credit card in Chelmsford later Monday morning, according to police.
