OBITUARY: Frederick J. "Fred" Fentross, 61, Longtime Tewksbury Resident

TEWKSBURY, MA — Frederick J. “Fred” Fentross, Jr., 61, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016.

Born in Lowell on May 10, 1955, he was the son of the late Frederick J. Fentross and the late Jeanne L. (Boisvert) Fentross.

Fred attended the former St. Stanislaus Parochial School in Lowell and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1973.

Following high school, he began his career in the residential construction and roofing business where he would become an expert roofer. Fred has many friends in the local construction trade.

Fred volunteered much of his spare time to several area rehabilitative programs. He helped many people overcome their alcohol addiction.

Fred enjoyed socializing with his friends and family and he especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Fred is survived by his daughter, Melissa V. Mann and her husband Saro of Lowell; two sisters, Julie A. Corsetti and her husband Robert of Arlington and Cynthia M. Fentross and her wife Bernice of West Boylston; three brothers, Paul W. Fentross and his wife Donna of Billerica, Jeffrey P. Fentross and his wife Nancy and Peter B. Fentross and his wife Colleen all of Tewksbury; three grandchildren, Sarina V. Mann, Saro Mann, Jr., and Paige Mann; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Fred was the brother of the late Matthew A. Fentross of Bradenton, FL.

Relatives and friends will be received Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Kindly Omit Flowers.
