OBITUARY: John E. Gill, 36, Formerly of Tewksbury

"John will be remembered for his giving personality, he was very kind, caring, and sensitive towards others."

John Edward Gill, age 36, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2016.

John was born on May 18, 1980 in Houston, TX; he is the cherished son of Nancy A. (Hamilton) Gill of Derry, NH and the late John J. “Jack” Gill. John grew up in Everett and moved to Tewksbury as a teenager; he attended Shawsheen Valley Tech High School in Billerica.

While at the Tech, John was a member of the “Machine Shop;” John made some of his best memories in high school along with friendships that lasted throughout his life. John graduated Shawsheen Tech with the Class of 1998.

John worked as a dispatcher for Truck Temp Delivery Systems in Woburn.

In his spare time, John enjoyed traveling and going on road trips with his friends; some of his favorite trips were hiking or camping adventures. John also went to many sporting events and concerts; he had a love of music and followed many local bands.

John will be remembered for his giving personality, he was very kind, caring, and sensitive towards others. John would give you the shirt off his back; he would do anything for his family and friends especially his parents Jack and Nancy, his sister Jillian and his godchildren Bailey and Cameron with whom he shared a special bond. John was a truly amazing guy and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is the cherished son of Nancy and the late Jack Gill of Derry, NH, formerly of Tewksbury, dear brother of Jillian Gill and her fiancé Dave Sousa of Nashua, NH, special Godfather and Uncle of Bailey and Cameron, loving grandson of Dorothy Hamilton of Chelsea and Edward Gill of No. Weymouth. John is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte 62), Wilmington on Sunday, November 13th at 1:00 p.m.
