Pair Stole $6,800 From Tewksbury Store: Police

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two people accused of a theft at a retail store last month.

TEWKSBURY, CT — Police are searching for a pair accused of stealing $6,800 from Walmart.

Police responded to Walmart at 333 Main St. on May 31 on report of a theft of cash that occurred May 11.

At about 2 p.m., a man and a woman entered the store and bought a $20 gift card with cash.

The woman "coerced the cashier to show her money in the register while the male distracted the other cashiers. The female took approximately $6,800," police wrote.

They fled in a white pickup truck.
