State Rep. Tram Nguyen Offering In-Person Office Hours In 4 Towns

TEWKSBURY, MA — State Rep. Tram Nguyen (D-18th Essex) has announced four sessions of in-person office hours are scheduled for the coming weeks.

Nguyen, who is running for re-election against Republican Jeffrey Dufour, will be available to meet constituents in each of her four towns: Boxford, Tewksbury, Andover and North Andover.

"We've had great conversations online, and we look forward to going back to open office hours to meet people and hear their concerns," Nguyen told Patch.

Elected in 2018, Nguyen has held monthly office hours since she took office. The hours went virtual during COVID, and constituents still have opportunities to sign up for virtual sessions with Nguyen.

Nguyen has slowly brought back in-person office hours since the height of the pandemic.

"In addition to office hours, people have always been able to reach out to Rep. Nguyen and schedule time to talk to her, whether by phone or in person," Nguyen spokesperson Christina Eckert said.

Eckert said all are welcome at office hours, regardless of party.

"It's an opportunity for constituents to talk to her about specific problems they may be having, that can be solved on a state level," Eckert said. " I have also seen people come to talk to her about broader issues, like drought, climate change, healthcare, and education."

The upcoming office hours with Tram Nguyen are:

• 11 a.m. to noon on Sept. 28 at Boxford Council on Aging, 4 Middleton Rd., Boxford
• 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 3 at Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler St., Tewksbury
• 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 7 at Robb Center, 30 Whittier Ct., Andover
• 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 12 at Heav'nly Donuts, 50 Main St., North Andover
