Storm Knocks Out Power For Over 9K In Middlesex County

A winter storm dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of the county. See snowfall totals for your town.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, MA — A winter storm has knocked out power to 9,270 households in Middlesex County as of Sunday afternoon, according to a National Grid outage map.

Many of those affected are in Tewksbury, which reported 4,126 customers without power.

Tyngsboro also saw widespread power outages affecting 3,974 households.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until Monday at 1 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

A chance of snow is expected mainly before 7 p.m. Winds will calm down to 5 to 10 mph. New snow accumulations will be half an inch or less.

The storm will clear out with partly sunny skies tomorrow with a high near 34.
