Residents can check their voter status online. According to the Town Clerk's office, inactive voters are still eligible to vote, but they will be required to complete additional forms and show an ID at the polls in order to vote.

There are multiple ways to vote in the election: in person, by mail and absentee. The only in-person early voting is for absentee voters.

In-person voting on Election Day will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The voting locations are:

  • Precinct 1: Senior Center, 175 Chandler St.
  • Precinct 5 & 5A: Senior Center, 175 Chandler St.
  • Precinct 2: Recreation Center, 286 Livingston St.
  • Precinct 6: Recreation Center, 286 Livingston St.
  • Precinct 3 Town Hall, 1009 Main St.
  • Precinct 7 Town Hall, 1009 Main St.
  • Precinct 4 Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler St.
  • Precinct 8, Tewksbury Public Library 300 Chandler St.

Note: 5A is a Sub-Precinct for state elections and state primaries only. Voters residing in Sub-Precinct 5A are considered Precinct 5 voters in local elections.

Residents can check on their precinct online.

The deadline for returning a Vote-By-Mail Application was Monday.

Once residents have received their Vote-By-Mail Ballot, and have filled it out, there are three ways to return it to the Town Clerk's office.

  • A drop box will be at the main entrance of Town Hall 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
  • In person at the Town Clerk's office, during office hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • By Mail. Though the U.S. Postal service said delivery services can range from 3 to 11 days.

The Town Clerk's office reminds residents that ballots cannot be dropped off at a polling place on Election Day. Also, ballots must reach the Town Clerk's office by the time the polls close on Election Day.

There is a Track My Ballot tool on the Secretary of the Commonwealth website.

Though Vote-By-Mail Ballots are more common, there are special circumstances where residents can use Absentee Ballots. More details about Absentee Ballots are available online.

Town Clerk Denise Graffeo also offers these reminders ahead of Saturday's election:

  • Bring an ID: In some cases voters will be required to show an ID. That ID can be anything (driver's license, a current utility bill, email) but the name and address must match how you are registered.
  • Keep your ballot dry and free from hand sanitizers: Do not use hand sanitizer while handling your ballot and be sure your voting booth is dry as it will cause issues with tabulator breakdowns.

Any questions about the election can be directed to the Town Clerk's office at 978-640-4355 or email by email at [email protected].
