Why are you seeking elective office?

I care deeply about the students in our community and I feel personally invested in their successes. I am running for office so that I can have a direct impact on their outcomes and continue to support this community and our students.

If you are a challenger, in what ways do you hope to improve upon the work of the current board or office holder?

I wish to continue to open the lines of communication between all parties and to continue to build those strong relationships between the district leadership, the teachers and the community.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I was a paraprofessional for four years and understand the dedication our teachers have for our students. In my current position, I have skills in negotiation, budgeting and leadership; these skills all blend nicely into the School Committee role.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am excited to get to work and help the current committee with the milestones they have ahead of them. I have been volunteering on PACs in varying positions for the past seven years and have learned a lot about our community and how much we value our students. I believe that our students are our biggest assets to this community and we have a responsibility to prepare them to go off and change the world.
