Tewksbury Holds Lead Over Wilmington As Reading Rivals Nears End

The six-week library reading competition ends Nov. 24.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury holds a small lead in the Reading Rivals competition with Wilmington going into the challenge's final week.

Tewksbury Public Library readers have logged 440,093 minutes, to Wilmington Memorial Library's 436,696, the Wilmington library said.

A week ago, Wilmington had a 3,000-minute lead. The six-week competition ends Nov. 24 at noon.

The winning town will win the "Reading Cup."

Residents of each town can register on Beanstack to read for their library Tewksbury or Wilmington. You can log hours spent reading on Beanstack.

Both libraries have weekly prizes for participating patrons.
