Tewksbury Honey Lands 2 Products On 2023 Good Food Awards List

The company, which employs over 8 million bees, had its Spring Wildflower Honey and Spring Creamed Honey named among the Honey finalists.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Two products made by Tewksbury Honey were named among the finalists for the 2023 Good Food Awards, the Good Food Foundation announced last week.

Tewksbury Honey's Spring Wildflower Honey and Spring Creamed Honey are two of the 20 selections in the Honey Category. The winners in each category will be named at the 2023 Good Food Awards Ceremony on April 21 in Portland, Oregon.

According to the Good Food Foundation, 513 finalists were selected for the 2023 awards, from nearly 2,000 entries.

"The finalists were identified by category experts and consumer tasters alike as exceptionally delicious, while also meeting the rigorous sustainability criteria necessary to be considered a finalist," the Good Food Foundation said in a statement.

Tewksbury Honey's website indicates the company's products were Good Food Award winners in 2017 and 2019, and finalists in 2020.

Tewksbury Honey is owned and operated by Julie and Mike Kelley, and the company raises its own honeybees — employing over 8 million honeybees in about 125 hives in apiary locations in Tewksbury, Wilmington, Andover and Bradford.

"We are proud to raise our own honeybees, harvest the honey, and sell it directly to our customers in its most natural and raw form," the company said in a statement.

Tewksbury Honey products can be purchased online. In the winter, Tewksbury Honey is available at the Salem (New Hampshire) Farmers Market, which has a winter location at the LaBelle Winery in Derry, New Hampshire, located 14 NH-111.
