Tewksbury Memorial High Students Named Hats Off Winners For February

TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury Memorial High School seniors Jamie Constantino and Abby Mahoney have been named the Tewksbury Rotary Club Hats Off Award winners for February.

The Hats Off Award, a joint initiative between the Tewksbury Rotary Club and TMHS, recognizes students who have distinguished themselves academically, have contributed to co-curricular programs at the high school and have been involved in the community. Students are nominated by TMHS faculty.

Constantino has a 4.0 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society. She was the captain of the TMHS lacrosse team and is a three-year member of the Tewksbury/Methuen ice hockey team.

Additionally, Constantino has served as the president of Best Buddies Club and she works with Unified Basketball. She also has volunteered at lacrosse clinics, as a National Honor Society tutor and at the Tewksbury Food Pantry.

Constantino plans to attend the University of New Hampshire and major in Veterinary technology.

Mahoney, meanwhile, is a member of the National Honor Society, serving as the co-president, and she was the recipient of the John and Abigail Adam Scholarship. She also plays field hockey and lacrosse at TMHS.

Plus, Mahoney has won AP Scholar Awards and awards for her artwork. She also has volunteered at the Tewksbury Food Pantry and at youth field hockey clinics.

Mahoney plans to major in nursing and potentially become a nurse practitioner.
