Tewksbury Seeking New High School Principal

The district has begun searching for a new principal to take the place of Interim Principal Jon Bernard for the 2022-2023 school year.

TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury school district has begun searching for a new high school principal, the district announced Sunday.

The district posted the job opening Sunday to replace Jon Bernard, who has served as interim principal since 2020. The principal search was also included on the agenda for the School Committee's Wednesday meeting.

The new principal would join the school for the 2022-2023 school year with an expected start date of July 1.

"The position offers a system committed to excellence and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students," the announcement reads. "The Superintendent of Tewksbury Public Schools is prepared to offer a regionally competitive salary and benefits package to a future-focused high school leader with exceptional credentials, accomplishments, and promise."

Officials will begin reviewing applications Jan. 26, according to the posting.
