Girl Scout troops from Tewksbury and Wilmington came together recently to make Mother’s Day bags for clients of the Lowell Chapter of the Mass Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

The girls decorated and assembled donated items to help mom feel special on Mother’s Day. Items included hair accessories, nail polish, lip gloss, scented soaps, lotions and chocolates. The girls were thrilled to participate and gratified knowing their small gesture means a lot to others. The event was organized by Kim Welch of Troop 60245 in Tewksbury.
