TEWKSBURY, MA — Tewksbury's historic Pike House was finally demolished last week, after years of discussion.

The Main Street building dated to 1740 and served through the years as a stagecoach stop, bed and breakfast, restaurant, gift shop and bookstore/cafe, according to town documents.

Its site will be used by the owner Ira Toyota as part of an expansion, the Town Crier reported.
