The Wamesit Lodge blood drive collects over 1,500 units of blood annually, helping save 4,500 lives each year, though we could always use the support of more blood donors. The Red Cross reports that every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.

Whether a first time, or repeat donor, please consider participating in the Wamesit Lodge blood drive. The blood donation process from the time you arrive until the time you leave takes about an hour, although the donation itself is only about 8-10 minutes of that time on average. With just those few minutes, you could personally help save as many as three lives. If interested in donating blood, please schedule an appointment by downloading the American Red Cross Blood Donor app or by visiting https://www.redcrossblood.org/. There you will find convenient times at the Masonic Hall.

Wamesit Lodge is part of the world’s oldest and largest fraternity – Freemasonry. The fraternity is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country, and his fraternity. The Freemasons help men to be the best possible versions of ourselves, and make connections with men who share the same values. If interested in learning more or joining the brotherhood of the Wamesit Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or stop by the Lodge during a Blood Drive and ask to speak to a brother.
