WAKEFIELD, MA — The town is updating residents on progress on the Wakefield Memorial High School project.

Below is a statement from the Town of Wakefield:

An exciting milestone has been reached in the Wakefield Memorial High School project: construction has begun! Ground improvements and the relocation of a drainage culvert are in the first phase of work occurring over the next few months.

To accommodate construction, the work zone around the Shaun F. Beasley Track and Field is being fenced off and the track will not be accessible. Parking in the area has been modified, and a pedestrian path has been established from the school to the parking area at Landrigan Field.
