WAYLAND, MA — A construction worker was seriously injured Friday morning at a town job site in Wayland, and was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Boston, according to the Wayland Fire Department.

The worker was hit by a construction truck that was backing up around 11 a.m. along Stonebridge Road, officials said.
