WAYLAND, MA — Wednesday night's wicked weather left many streets and neighborhoods in Wayland a mess to clean up. Between the high speed winds and the drenching rain, residents woke up to a wet mess of branches and debris on Thursday.

Wayland's Department of Public Works assured residents the aftermath of the storm would be taken care of, but that means some possible traffic delays. Crews are in and out of the streets, not only cleaning the debris but cutting down trees that were damaged during the storm and at risk of falling.

DPW warned residents to expect some localized road closures on Thursday.
