MARLBOROUGH, MA — A series of ramp closures in Westborough and Hopkinton at the I-495 and Mass Pike interchange will continue this week — this time lasting into the weekend.

Starting Monday at 11 p.m., the southbound ramps from eastbound and westbound I-90 to I-495 south will close each night. The closures will last each night from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day, with the final closure Friday night into Saturday morning.

  • When the I-495 southbound on-ramp from I-90 eastbound and westbound is closed, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signs and use I-495 northbound to exit 59B (Route 9 westbound), to reverse direction back to I-495 southbound.

MassDOT is in the third of six stages toward completing a complete rebuild of the interchange. This stage is set to last until 2026, and will focus on completing the southbound ramps to I-495 from the Mass Pike.
