READING, MA — Six Wilmington fourth graders were among the students honored for their artwork this week by the Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD).

In RMLD's Elementary Student Art Contest, students from Reading, Wilmington, North Reading, and Lynnfield Center— the areas where RMLD supplies power — were asked to design posters demonstrating their knowledge of topics like electrical safety, how electricity gets to the home and sustainability.

A total of 36 students from 12 elementary schools were honored, with first, second and third-place winners selected from each of the participating schools. The winning posters, which can be viewed online, were chosen based on the artwork and message.
