Funeral For Wilmington's Roberta Devine Postponed Due To Storm

The funeral mass for Roberta Sausville Devine, 68 of Wilmington, was originally planned for Saturday morning but will now take place Monday.

WILMINGTON, MA — The funeral for Wilmington's Roberta Sausville Devine has been postponed to Monday due to the predicted winter storm Saturday, according to her obituary.

Devine, 68, was killed Friday when her car was hit by an MBTA commuter rail train near the North Wilmington station.

Her funeral mass was originally scheduled for Saturday morning.

It will now take place Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Thomas - Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, followed by her interment in Calvary Cemetery in Winchester.

Donations may be made in Devine's memory to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, according to her obituary.

Significant disruptions are likely Saturday due to the likely severe winter weather.

Most of the state is under a winter storm watch from late Friday night through Saturday evening. Wilmington could get over a foot of snow, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
